Julius Irion

I am a software developer and Information Systems Management master's student at TU Berlin. Currently, I work as a Student Research Assistant at the Distributed and Operating Systems (DOS) group by Prof. Odej Kao, where I bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application.

My core interest lies in the complexities of distributed computing and building systems that are resilient and scalable. Recently, I have focused on carbon-aware computing, exploring how we can design data center microgrids that align with computational demand and local renewable energy availability to reduce environmental impact.
